Lubricants
Anderson
Lubricants has been providing specialized lubricating oils to industries
in Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota for over 35 years. In that time,
Anderson Lubricants has become one of the top ten distributors of
Exxon/Mobile lubricating products in the United States.
"Our goal is to
improve our customer’s profitability by utilizing our technical
expertise with a custom blend of products and services," is a mission
statement that guides the work of Anderson Lubricants.
Industries served
by Anderson Lubricants include mining, marine, paper, power generation,
construction, trucking, quick lube shops and car dealers. Lubricating
products are distributed from three locations: Superior; Negaunee, MI;
and Chisholm, MN.
The Superior
distribution center receives 70 percent of its lubricating products by
rail and stores up to one-half million gallons of lubricant in 70 bulk
tanks. The Superior facility also has equipment to reprocess
contaminated oil and lubricants, preserving and returning a valued
commodity to customers.
Steve King is CEO
and President of Anderson Lubricants, a long-time member of the
Development Association. He finds value in the networking opportunities
the Development Association provides to help existing businesses grow in
the community.
Member Profile: LeBistro
“Our
customers are very supportive of our restaurant. They are just like
family,” said Barbara Krause, owner of LeBistro restaurant.
LeBistro, located
in Superior City Center, has developed a loyal customer base since it
opened its doors over three years ago. Patrons enjoy a lunch menu that
features a variety of sandwiches, burgers and salads. The dinner menu
has been described as “continental”- a mix of European, American and
Asian tastes.
Customers are also
invited to participate in special events at the restaurant like wine and
food pairings or beer and food pairings.
The atmosphere at
LeBistro has been called comfortable and relaxed. It is a place where
you take your time to enjoy dinner.
One of the
specialties of LeBistro is fresh seafood. Seafood is flown in daily from
Hawaii. LeBistro takes pride in using only the freshest, finest
ingredients including the choicest meats and seafood, freshest
vegetables, breads and pastries.
Barbara recommends
reservations as LeBistro is often filled to capacity. Lunch is served
from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday. Dinner is served from
5 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, and from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Friday
and Saturday.

The 50th Annual
Meeting of the Development Association will be held on Friday, April 30,
2010 at Barker's Island Inn, starting at 11:45 a.m.
Guest speaker will be Bill McCoshen, Senior Vice President of Capitol
Consultants. The subject of his talk will be, “Weathering the Economic
Storm.”

the Annual Meeting and lunch are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. To
