E Bulletin June 2009 -Vol.
5, Issue 3 Articles featured in this issue of the Development
Association bulletin include:
MEMBER PROFILE: Superior Bank

Superior Bank has been serving customers in Superior and Douglas
County since 1897. It’s a bank where the tellers know the customers by
name and a place where you might find the customers sitting down to
enjoy conversation over coffee and cookies.
In an era when some big banks are in financial turmoil, Superior Bank is
described by Tom Germann, the bank’s President, as financially strong,
in great shape, conservative, prudently sound, growing and stable.
As a family owned community bank, there is closeness between management
and the board that allows decisions to be made quickly. The four
officers of the bank have close to 100 years of combined service at
Superior Bank.
At its present location, 2820 East 2nd St., since 1995, Superior Bank
offers a complete array of banking services including: commercial loans,
home equity loans, auto loans, personal loans, lines of credit, internet
banking, free bill paying, ATM and debit cards and free checking.
For as long as Germann can remember, Superior Bank has been a member of
the Development Association.
“We see our membership in The Development Association as a way to
support and promote our community,” said Germann. “The Development
Association creates jobs and wealth in our community, and growth in our
community is going to mean growth for our bank.”
