Sponsors

The sponsors are pleased to be involved in this competition for the thirteenth year. This competition is designed to help area entrepreneurs. These organizations feel strongly that the entire community should be involved in economic development. Such a contest brings to focus all of the resources available to a potential business and is a catalyst in getting that business up and running.

Business plans submitted for the competition are judged by an independent panel of community experts in the field of business, industry, finance, service and education.

The Business Plan

The Business Plan is a detailed description of the business, including the product, a market analysis, the management team, and financial projections. A well-prepared plan serves two functions:

1.   It helps secure financing by demonstrating technical competence, market knowledge, and organizational ability.

2.   It is a valuable management tool to help establish goals, to identify risks, to recognize financial and physical needs, and to provide a benchmark for evaluation of performance.
